Working together

Therapy Services

How I work

We'll work together to understand more fully what's going on for you. I draw on contemporary theories to give you practical insights, including: how our nervous systems are regulated, the relationship between mind and body, early development and how our wellbeing is interconnected with our identity, relationships, and the world around us.

I will always collaborate with you, sharing theories or approaches that may help to support or gently challenge you, to promote growth. I aim to offer my perspective lightly. I don’t diagnose based on medical/disorder models but have a working understanding of relevant mental health classifications and services.

My hope is that whatever you wish to bring to therapy, you feel able to explore together openly and without fear of judgement.

I offer in-person therapy in Exeter, online therapy UK-wide, or outside in nature for ecotherapy in Devon.

My experience

I have experience particularly of working with anxiety, depression, loss, addiction, and trauma; though I am interested in each individual’s life experience first and foremost. I have worked with a diverse range of people at organisations such as Headstrong Counselling and The Swan Project, with excellent client feedback.

I am a current student on the MSc Integrative Psychotherapy course at The Metanoia Institute. I continue to expand my learning with regular professional training sessions from a range of reputable providers. I have undertaken CPD in walking ecotherapy.

Therapy has had a profound impact in my own life and I continue my own journey with a personal therapist every week. I am most at peace in the outdoors, enjoying the beautiful nature that Devon has to offer.

Who I work with

I am especially interested in supporting young adults (18+ years), those who have experienced sexual trauma, integrative psychotherapy trainees and those interested in understanding themselves and how they show up in relationships more authentically.

I really am open to working with everyone and understand how hard it can be to find a therapist, so please feel free to contact me for a free 15-minute initial conversation to discuss your needs.

Ethics and safeguarding

I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and subscribe to their ethical guidelines. Safeguarding and ethical practice, including confidentiality, respect and appropriate boundaries are very important aspects to me as a professional you can trust.

I receive regular supervision from an accredited and highly experienced professional, who reviews my work to ensure that I am working in the best interest of clients.

Private Individual Therapy

Free initial conversation

I understand that it can be hard to find a therapist and starting with a new therapist can be daunting. I offer a free, no obligation 15 minutes initial conversation over the phone.

Whilst not essential, I recommend that you speak with 2 - 3 therapists before you chose someone you feel comfortable with.

If you decide to work with me, we will begin sessions by going through an agreement together, talking about your history and what brings you to therapy, in a full-length session.

Sessions are once per week. Depending on your circumstances, twice weekly may be appropriate. I understand that juggling with life and work commitments can be hard - please be aware that consistency and attendance each week is important.

There is no set number of sessions, we will review every 6 weeks.
